Vocational Training Program

In summer 2024, we offered our inaugural vocational training program - an opportunity for aspiring Coral Reef Restoration Technicians to receive hands-on skills training directly from experts in the field. This Summer, Hawaiʻi MERC is facilitating our first MERC Maritime Academy
which will feature a transformative blend of education, culture, and adventure!

Requirements

Applicants must be between 16 and 20 years old. Must have strong swimming skills and be able to snorkel. Comfortable working outdoors, around seawater, and in the sun.

Program will be located at Hawaiʻi MERC in Miloliʻi from June 15th-26th 2026. The cost is $200 with scholarships available, please note in the application.
