LOAM kicks off partnership with first salon dinner

Our partnership with LOAM has continued to grow and evolve over the past 2 years. We are proud to announce a new Coral Immersion Experience curated for ocean minded individuals who are looking to give back to the reefs which provide many ecosystem and economic services to the coastline of West Hawaiʻi. LOAM is a regenerative travel platform that began with a simple belief: travel can be a force for good. By making it easier for travelers to find and book experiences that are good for people and planet, they make this way of travel a reality.

“The LOAM team is incredibly dedicated to a healthy world. They see clearly the impact of thoughtful and immersive travel.” says Andrea Scott, ʻĀkoʻakoʻa Assistant Director. LOAM brought together a group of like-minded guests for an intimate evening at their first Salon dinner in March. "There's something that shifts when women across industries come together to truly connect. Jennifer Loh, Lisa Hennessy and Leah Levine at LOAM created and curated THAT space, your impact storytelling allowed us attending to share our stories and get to know one another beyond titles.” says a Salon guest. We gathered for a fireside chat with Andrea and Jennifer to talk about the realities facing our oceans and the work being done to restore them. More importantly, the evening created space for meaningful conversation, shared perspectives, and new connections among people who believe travel can be a force for good.“It was amazing to bring together ocean conservation enthusiasts to learn more about the incredible work being done at ‘Ākoʻakoʻa and how they can get involved. We’re excited for this partnership and for visitors to the island to experience this transformative coral restoration immersion with LOAM.” says Jennifer.

“I'm excited about our partnership to bring light to the communities ʻĀkoʻakoʻa supports.” says Andrea. We are thankful for the continued support and partnership that LOAM has given the ʻĀkoʻakoʻa program and we are looking forward to welcoming guests on this impactful and immersive coral restoration experience.
